Monica met her future husband, Brent, in 1996. During this time, Monica and her two young children, Jake and Lacey, enjoyed living in a small cottage on a raspberry farm where they had many adventures. She attended college in Bozeman where she studied plant science. Monica was adventurous and free-spirited, and loved living in Montana. Monica and her mother, Mel, moved to Montana in 1979. As a kid, Monica loved taking advantage of being so close to the ocean and took any opportunity she could to be out on the boat, fishing, or being on the beach. Monica was born in Clearwater, Florida, in 1967 to Melanie (“Mel”) Swaim and Robert (“Bob”) Turnburke. Monica Lyn Turnburke, 55, of Nashua, Montana, died on July 11, 2023, after a short but fierce battle with cancer. Memorials may be sent the Glasgow Pool Fund, Markle Ambulance Fund or a charity of your choice. A family memorial will be held at a later date. The last few years, she enjoyed the company of friends and staff at Prairie Ridge. She is survived by her sister, GayAnne Hainline of Missoula and many nieces and nephews. She has 11 grandchildren and 22 great grandchildren. She is survived by four children, Debbie (Tee) of SLC, Utah, Jeff (Lori) of Kennewick, Washington, Laurie, (Jim) of Sundance, Wyoming, and Lisa, (Randy) of Billings, Montana. Her family looked forward to her cooking and baking skills. She looked forward to spending time with her children and their families. Kae enjoyed exercise, golf, playing bridge, traveling and meeting her friends for coffee. While there she met Robert, “Tag” Markle and they married in 1950. She spent her childhood there and later moved to Missoula to attend the University of Monana. Kae was born to John and Annie Lythgoe on November 4th, 1930 in Salt Lake City, UT. Kae Lythgoe Markle, longtime resident of Glasgow, Montana died at the age of 92 on August 1, 2023.
